Sadness brings about kindness

This was a sad thing for our family. A close family friend ( my sisters best friend) 18 month old daughter was ran over and killed by a car. It was so heart braking to me that I wanted and needed to do something for them. So we came up with a fundraiser to help with the expenses. Not that it will ever be enough.

As I felt like I was doing a small thing I had a thought to raise $10,000. What would it hurt right? So I set this up and put it on Facebook and ask people to share it like crazy. I put it in yard sale sites  and some groups I am in. I was brought to tears at the love and support people were giving. I love seeing how everyone even those that did not know them were giving. I am proud and filled with gratitude as this is the latest update.

Thank you everyone!!!

If you would like to give here is the link.

Cute harvest banner

I was asked to make a banner for a charity bazaar. I really like this charity and I help out when ever I can.
The "Children's Hope Chest" banner. They wanted it to look nice, child like and harvesty/ fallesh. This is what I came up with.

As you can se I did an orange zig zag around the edges of the burlap. Then a single row stitch to sew on the letters.
